Xavier Le Roy performs Product of Circumstances for one Sydney performance only at the Seymour Centre.

Performed recently at London’s Tate Modern, Product of Circumstances details Le Roy’s own professional journey from biologist to dancer, expressed through his iconoclastic brand of dance performance.

The lecture-performance Product of Circumstances (1999) entices onto the slippery ice of biographical explanation. It casts a seemingly innocent glance in the rear-view mirror of the self and at the paradoxes of the science and art worlds The German Stage

At 7:30pm Xavier Le Roy will be introduced in a talk by Dr Amanda Card from the University of Sydney’s Department of Performance Studies. Product of Circumstances runs from 8:15pm and Xavier Le Roy will conduct a Q & A following the performance.
